Born in Memphis, TN Peter Roberts moved to Cleveland,
OH at a young age. He is a recent graduate of Howard University, where he has obtained his bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies with a focus in voice. He is a former member
of Afro Blue the premiere vocal jazz ensemble at Howard and has performed with the likes of the late Geri Allen, Cyrus Chestnut, Esperanza Spalding, Chance the Rapper, Yolanda Adams, Kelli Clarkson, and many others. Being in Afro Blue has allotted him with the opportunities to sing at the famous Apollo Theater, The John F. Kennedy Center, as well as the White House where he sang with the group for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. While his focus in college was jazz voice, his true passion is the piano and organ. He has been playing piano for 14 years and organ for 8 years. He also has picked up the bass guitar, which he has been playing for 3 years. He has been blessed to play for many churches and venues in the DMV area as well as being the keyboardist for artists such as Deacon Izzy, JusPaul and most recently Dupont Brass.
He plans to continue this career in music through playing arranging and writing.
